Characteristics: This
vineyard was planted in 1936 with old varieties of Chardonnay,
including some ‘muscat’ plants which bring
an exotic flavour to the wine. In keeping with other wines
such as ‘La Croix’, this wine is very mineral
with overtones of white flowers and spices.
To accompany: Les Mollières goes
very well with seafood and fish.
Ageing/storing/laying down : Being a
wine which needs some time before blossoming fully, it
should be kept several years before being drunk (10 to
15 years).
