Characteristics: Beaumont was one of the first parcels, along with the Perrières, to be planted by our father in 1978. The Gamay grape is at home in this soil, bringing out hints of pepper, laurel and red fruits. Ageing varies between 11 and 18 months depending on the vintage.
To accompany: The wine goes well with
terrines and cheese when it is young, and after four
or five years, is a perfect match for game birds.
Ageing/storing/laying down: This wine
should not be drunk for at least two or three years,
to allow it develop its aromas, and can be kept for
five to ten years, depending on the vintage.
