Domaine Guillot-Broux, domaine en vins biologiques

Vins et agriculture biologique
Our domaine consists of a number of small vineyards in the Mâconnais villages of Cruzille, Grevilly and Chardonnay (some say this village is the origin of the grape variety – who knows?). Most of the vineyards are on east-facing slopes on clay-limestone soil. Each vineyard has its own “terroir” – a French concept encompassing soil and climate – which allows us to produce some 10 strikingly different wines.
The nature of the soil in Cruzille particularly brings out mineral flavours, and produces wines which need a relatively long time to mature.
Grevilly (in 2005, Mâcon Grévilly become Mâcon Cruille) and Chardonnay produce fruitier wines that can be appreciated when young or can be kept for several years to allow development of greater complexity. The different characteristics of the terroirs are further reinforced by our methods of cultivation.
